FAQ

Get answers to your questions about our Louisiana fishing charter services

Booking & Logistics

We typically depart at “safe light” (30 minutes before sunrise) to catch the early morning bite. For afternoon trips, typically 2pm.

The trip includes up to six hours on the water, you may choose to come in earlier if you wish.

Not at all! Whether you are a tournament pro or a first-timer, we love teaching everyone the ropes. We’ll handle the baiting and rigging so you can focus on the fight.

Licensing & Regulations

Yes, everyone 18 and older must have a valid Louisiana fishing license either the annual or 3-Day Saltwater Charter Passenger License.

For out-of-state guests or those without an annual license, the state offers a 3-Day Saltwater Charter Passenger License. It’s the easiest way to get legal for your trip and can be purchased via the LDWF website or by phone.

Anglers under the age of 18 do not require a license to fish in Louisiana waters.

What to Bring & What’s Included

We recommend sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and your preferred snacks and drinks for the boat. Don’t forget an ice chest for the car to bring home your catch.

We provide high-quality rods, reels, tackle, live/artificial bait, and life jackets. You are welcome to bring your favorite rod and life jacket.

If not a catch and release trip, your captain will fillet and bag your catch for you to take home. This service is included in your charter.

Weather & Cancellations

Safety is our #1 priority. If the captain determines the conditions are unsafe, we will notify you as soon as possible to reschedule or issue a full refund. We do fish in light rain, so bring a light rain jacket.
